I think I’m the only one who likes the rain! This morning I wasn’t so crazy about it when I had to stand outside, under cover, to remind my dogs that they are in fact dogs and must do their business outside – even in the rain. Other than that, I’m a happy camper with the rain today.
It is a perspective thing, it is something I preach about all the time so I should practice what I preach: my attitude today is I love the rain.
It was wonderful to wake up to the sound of the storms, what amazing noises – so much more pleasant than the normal noise of the dogs snoring. It also makes for a gentle steady rhythm in the background while I am working. It is filling up my fountain, softening the ground to make it easier for me to pull my weeds and washing off the desk for me. Another benefit is the sketchy looking grass will look fresh and bright green when the sun does come out.
I’ll even take it a step farther: I do have to run out today and the rain is not going to both er me. I am thankful that I have my hearing to listen to the sounds, my sight to see the birds ducking from the drops, the ability to smell the fresh scent that it brings and mostly that I have my health to be able to go out and feel the cold drops on my skin.
So today I’ll take a little rain to remind me of what is important and when the sun does come out, It will be just a bit brighter.
